Outfit Of The Day: Sports Day

Going for food and a coupla drinks with my girls tonight for one of my best mates birthdays. Decided to bare my legs cos it was sunny, and wear some vintage shorts I got recently, paired with a long tee that is going to be released soon from my shop, Naughty Apparel! I love this top, it's nice and baggy and has a cheeky fishnet panel to show your awesome abs or outfit underneath! Unfortunately, I do not have abs or anything resembling them, so all you could see was my high-waisted black shorts! I think you'll be seeing a lot of this top and these shorts in the future..

Manchester Vintage Kilo Sale!

Again, I apologise on the lateness of this post, deadlines for college is my excuse!

So I went to this AWESOME Vintage Kilo Sale a coupla weeks ago and my oh my, it was like heaven! There was SO MUCH STUFF. And it was SO CHEAP. It was hosted by a Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair, and the lovely lady put me on the guestlist to get in early! Basically, you pay £1 entry and are given access to tons of clothes, costing only £15 per kilo! Brought to us at The People's History Museum in Manchester, they had 5 TONNES of clothes and then a whole loada jewellery and accessories on top of that! I had an amazing day digging and rummaging through the giant bins of clothes! And came out with quite a lot of stuff.. Here's what I got.

These shorts used to be quite long but I cut the bottom off and then threw them in the wash to get them to fray at the bottom! They literally haven't left my body since then.

Scored some Levi's for like £3!! Bargainous!

I have literally been lounging round in these every second I get. They're so 90's and Fresh Prince! I love em! I feel like Will Smith would be proud of me.

These are pretty ace as well, still pretty 90's! I was clearly born a decade too late :(

I LOVE this denim dress. It's so cute and I feel so summery in it. It's my new favourite dress, and the most awesome bit is that it fits like a dream! I didn't even have to alter it!

Got this lovely shirt, it's so soft and I love the pattern on it. I can imagine myself in it having a picnic by a lake with  a handsome suitor!

I got another pair of shorts, just like this but black with white stripes down the side, perfect for a girly twist on the sporty trend this summer!

Fierce leopard ring!
Can we please stop for a minute and appreciate the brilliant and beautiful patterns on these scarves? Especially the red one! Absolutely gorgeous!
So yeah, all in all, I got 12 things for only £30 altogether! Thats £2.50 EACH! Wowzer. Definitely going to this one again! Go check them out on Facebook HERE.

Big Apologies!!

Big apologies for being absent for so long!! I've finally finished my foundation course though! Woooo! Which is the main reason I haven't been posting so much, I was a typical student and left everything to the end so that I was stressing out and pulling all-nighters. Ahh well. I want to say I'm gonna learn from my mistakes and not do leave it all last minute again, but I think we all know that's not true haha

ANYWAY, here is a few pictures of my final pieces! Modelled by yours truly! (Don't laugh cos I look like a gimp).

Inspired by modern architecture and line and shape! Pretty pleased with em, although I would've like to have not rushed so much :')

I've got lots of posts planned to come up, so keeps your eyes peeled! ;)

DIY Tutorial: Thrifted Dress Into Cute Skirt and Top!

On my usual scavenge hunts around charity shops I came across a gem of a dress! Sure, it was totally old and a horrible style but the fabric! Oh my days! It had a lot of potential! aha

So anyway, this isn't going to be a full step-by-step tutorial cos it just doesn't need it! Instructions below! :)

All I did was cut above the waistline of the skirt, and then cut it to the length I wanted and then hemmed it all. Sooo easy to do! And you just hem the bottom of the top aswell! I rolled up the sleeves and secured with safety pins as well, just to make it look that much cuter :)

Peaceeeeee xoxo

DIY Fur Trim Beanie Tutorial!

Had this beanie for agesss but I've never worn it! It's a lovely hat but it just falls off everytime I wear it! -_-
And seeing as it has a cute little fur bobble thing on it, I figured lets add a fur trim?!

This is a ridiculously simple tutorial, all you need is:

  • Scissors
  • A hat
  • Some faux fur
  • A needle and thread
  • And your own lovely head!
I literally had to hold it onto my head whilst taking these...

Measure your head and cut the fur to that length adding about 3cm for seam allowance or just wing it and wrap the fur around your head and cut like I did.. :')
Place the fur right sides together, so that all the fur is on the inside..
Then sew it up! I used a sewing machine purely cos it's quicker but it's easy to hand sew aswell, just do a simple running stitch :)
Then flip it so that the fur is on the inside..

and fold it widthways so that all you can see is fur!
Double check and make sure that it fits onto your head. (YAY SNUG)
Start to sew the fur onto the hat. You should place the unfurry side against the inside edge of the hat and stitch all the way around. Make sure you keep the hat stretched or it will be too gathered in one place!
Then fold the fur over the edge of the hat so that you can see the fur on the outside. 'Pick-up' some of the fur, pushing your needle in on the fur side of the fabric and pulling it back out on the same side. Then do the same with the next stitch but 'pick-up' wool from the hat this time. This will create a folded edge so that the raw edge of the fur doesn't poke out. And DONE! Now you can take silly pictures of yourself wearing your new fur hat! WOO! :)

Created a Pattern! :)

At college today, I spent most of the day creating a flower and skull pattern! Even though it took AGESSSSS, I'm really really pleased with it! :D I think I'm starting to get the hang of this Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop business!

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry! + Willow S/S 13

Not blogged for the last few days, can't believe I already broke my New Year's Resolution! But I'm not giving up yet!

Had a rather hectic past few days, had physio and college on Wednesday then went out with my friend Becky C partying in town! And Thursday, went to Buffet City (If you haven't been, GO) and did a bit of shopping! And then I think I just collapsed last night due to lack of sleep ahah :')

Today, I'm gonna share one of my favourite fashion collections that I've seen recently! It's Willow's S/S 13 range! Tons of things I want to DIY here..
