My Exhibition!

So it was my exhibition the other night, which was pretty good, probably because I mainly just stood around and talked to my friends.. haha. I did manage to get a few pictures of my classmates work though!

DIY Foil Nails

Seen a lot of silver/mirrored nails floating around the Tumblr-sphere lately, and seeing as my inner minimalist has been begging to break out, I decided to give the metallic nail trend a try! It's actually super easy but looks ace!

All you need to do is paint a base colour on your nails, then grab a piece of foil (unscrumpled!) and cut it into thin strips and then place it on your nails with a toothpick whilst they're still wet. Go over with a few coats of clear and you're done! I think they look pretty awesome if I say so myself.. haha
You can do it with any colour and even experiment with different colour foil! Another idea would be to use a hole-punch to cut out circles from the foil and stick them on instead!

Have fun! x

Identity Project

Just starting a 6 week long Identity Project at College, had this idea in my head for a while now. Trying to show people's personalities, likes/dislikes, and generally how I perceive them by making photomontages.
I'm quite pleased with this one of Robbie. Although, I would've liked to have used my own photos, original photograph by @JoshuaBurns :)

College Work - Sculptures and Book Art

This was from the first few weeks of the Foundation Art Course I'm on. Trying out different ways of making sculpture- wire and newspaper. And also more book art.

College Work - Self Portrait

We got forced to do self-portraits. Which also happened to be the day when I looked awful.

College Work - Armour

The current project I'm working on  is based around the John Rylands Library in Manchester, if you haven't been, you really need to. Basically cos it's all old school, I thought of armour, and defensiveness and this is what I've come up with so far! Thanks to the lovely Becky Jenkinson for modelling them for me!

College Work - Leaf Corset

This is the final result of a stressful 3 week project based on 'Natural Forms' and a trip to the Lake District! I'm pretty pleased with it if I'm honest, I only wish I could have done a shoot with someone actually wearing it, but enjoy!

Le Lake District

Went to the Lake District. Was cold. Froze to death.

I admit though, it is stunningly beautiful. Got some pretty nice pictures to show you all :) they are unedited though so don't judge! aha :)
